For the third year running, the Mayor of Chesterfield will once again be hosting 'Chesterfield's Got Talent' and is looking for talented acts from across the Borough.
This year's event is being held at the Winding Wheel on Saturday 8th October and applications should be submitted by 23rd September.
So do you have what it takes to win 'Chesterfield's Got Talent'?
One person who did was Chelsea Redfern - the first winner of 'Chesterfield's Got Talent' back in 2009 after judges said "You could win a place on X Factor". Chelsea was still at Netherthorpe School at the time.
During that year she performed at various venues for the Mayor.
Firstly was the Mayors Gala Ball at the Town Hall, followed by Gala in the Park at Queen's Park where Chelsea performed in front of thousands of people, with 4 of her school friends, this was a high energy act including hip hop dance routines with the whole routine lasting over an hour.
Chelsea's final performance, before the new winner was crowned, was at St Thomas's Church, a memorable one for her, "This was my favourite performance" said Chelsea, "as I was honoured to share the stage with Stephen Baird and the Abertillery Male Welsh Voice Choir - a truly magical night."
Chelsea's last challenge was to judge the competition in 2010 and what a challenge it was, with some fantastic acts.
Since winning in 2009, Chelsea has spent the last year at MADD College in Nottingham where she studies dance, drama and vocals, she has competed in Academy Idol in Barnsley also winning first place.
We hope to see Chelsea at this year's event if other commitments do not prevent her availability.
However, she is currently involved in something very eXciting so, fingers crossed!
