Reds Down To Bare Bones As They Head In to FA Cup Replay
Tuesday 28th October 2014 Injury-hit Alfreton Town are down to the absolute bare bones for Tuesday evening's FA Cup fourth qualifying round replay at Lincoln City.
The Reds will travel with just fourteen available players, three of whom are not fully fit as they are in various stages of returning from injury, but the biggest blow of all is that manager Nicky Law has no recognised goalkeeper for the tie and an outfield player will have to play in goal.

Friday 17th October 2014 Alfreton Town manager Nicky Law is urging his side to try to repeat the form which enabled them to beat high-flying Torquay United 4-2 last Saturday.

Tuesday 7th October 2014 Alfreton Town manager Nicky Law blasted his side's lack of ruthlessness after a 2-0 defeat at Aldershot Town on Saturday consigned them to a third straight defeat.

Thursday 11th September 2014 Alfreton Town manager Nicky Law was a frustrated man despite seeing his side gain their first Vanarama Conference point of the season from a 1-1 draw with Altrincham at the Impact Arena on Tuesday evening.
Just three days after returning to the dugout for the first time following a six-game stadium ban, Law saw his side take a 42nd minute lead courtesy of a sharp goal from man-of-the-match Joe Ironside but then have to hang on in the second half before conceding another late goal as Alty equalised on 89 minutes to deny the Reds a much-needed victory. Saturday 30th August 2014 Alfreton Town Football Club is pleased to announce that their award winning Community Scheme is set to receive a huge boost in the form of sponsorship from local chocolate company Thorntons.
The donation from Britain's much-loved chocolate maker Thorntons, who are based in Somercotes, will be used to purchase 180 season tickets from the football club, which will be distributed to schools who are participating in the Community Scheme's various programmes. The PROACT And Impact Arena To Host International Matches
Wednesday 6th August 2014 Chesterfield's Proact Stadium and Alfreton Town's Impact Arena will both host England Under-17 international matches later this month.
The Young Lions will face their counterparts from Portugal at the PROACT on Friday, August 29th, kick-off at 7.30pm.

Wednesday 30th July 2014 Alfreton Town manager Nicky Law has brought former Reds player Anthony Howell back to the club on a one-year deal ahead of the 2014/15 Conference Premier season.
Howell, 28, recently left Mansfield Town after two seasons with the Stags, in which he helped them to the Conference Premier Division title at the end of the 2012/13 campaign. He is primarily a central midfield player but can also operate as a striker or winger and was previously with Alfreton for two-and-a-half seasons, helping the club win the Conference North title in the 2010/11 campaign. Former Alfreton Player Manager Jim Bullions, Dies Aged 90
Monday 30th June 2014 It is with great sadness that Alfreton Town Football Club announce the death of former Reds player and manager James Law Bullions who has passed away at the age of 90.
According to the Leeds United History website, Jim Bullions became Player Manager with Alfreton in September 1960 and played 58 games before retiring and went on to complete nine years in the role of Manager.

Reds Boss Nails On Wood
Friday 6th June 2014 Alfreton Town manager Nicky Law has received a major boost ahead of the 2014/15 season with defender Bradley Wood committing himself to a new two-year contract.
The deal will keep tough-tackling Wood at the Impact Arena until 2016. The popular 22-year-old right-back was named as the named the ATFC Supporters' Player of the Season, after a tremendous first season with the Reds as they finished eleventh in the Conference Premier Division. He enjoyed a hugely consistent campaign where he also played in central midfield for several games and only missed one game out of 50 for the club - and that was due to illness.

Sunday 20th April 2014 Two crucial decisions that went against Alfreton Town in their televised home game against Grimsby Town on Good Friday, ultimately cost the Reds their last lingering hope of a Skrill Premier play-off place.

Alfreton Town FC have announced their admission prices for the forthcoming FA Carlsberg Trophy first round home tie with Nuneaton Town.
Adults will be £15 each and concessions (under-16 and over-65s) will be £10.

It's been a good news week for the Reds, with an announcement that Alfreton Town Council have continued their long support of Alfreton Town Football Club, with a further twelve month extension of their sponsorship, with a grant of three thousand pounds.
The sponsorship, amongst other benefits, provides free of charge admission for each home League game for ten members of local groups, clubs, schools and community organisations in the Town. Law Hopes 'Atkins' Diet Will Stop Opposition Goal Gain

Alfreton Town are delighted to confirm that manager Nicky Law has brought in goalkeeper Ross Atkins on a season-long loan from Derby County.
An England Under-18 and Under-19 international, Atkins is a product of the Derby County youth system and has made one first team appearance for the club. The highly rated 23-year-old will continue to train full-time with the Rams. He was on loan with Burton Albion for the entire 2011/12 season and for the first half of last season and has also previously had loan spells with Southport, Kidderminster Harriers and Tamworth.
Derby manager Nigel Clough has kindly agreed for Ross to play in this season's FA Cup competition as well as FA Trophy and Derbyshire Senior Cup ties.

Tuesday 2nd July 2013 Alfreton Town manager Nicky Law has significantly strengthened his squad with the addition of experienced former Cambridge United central midfield player Tom Shaw.
A former England C international, Tom, 26, has signed a two-year deal with the Reds.

The Reds boss has signed twenty-one-year-old Wood on a one-year contract following his release by the Mariners on May 2nd.

Scott, 23, made 14 league and cup appearances for the Reds including seven from the bench and netted three goals the pick of which was a last gasp winner in the recent 3-2 home win over Gateshead.

The course will be held from Tuesday, April 2nd, to Friday, April 5th inclusive, between the hours of 9am and 12 noon each day.

Tuesday 12th March 2013 Alfreton Town boss Nicky Law has bought in central defender Jordan Rose on an emergency loan until the end of the season from fellow Blue Square Bet Premier Division rivals AFC Telford United.

Thursday 31st January 2013 Alfreton Town have confirmed that they have signed striker Scott Boden on loan from npower League Two neighbours Chesterfield until April 20th and say that Scott will wear squad number 15 during his stay at the Impact Arena.
Chesterfield FC have granted permission for Scott (pictured left) to play in the Derbyshire Senior Cup but not against themselves (which could be in the final).
He is not eligible for selection against Mickleover Royals next Tuesday as he was not signed in time for the registration date for the fourth round.
Chesterfield Striker Comes To Reds On Loan
Wednesday 30th January 2013 Chesterfield have said today that striker Scott Boden has joined non-league Alfreton Town on loan.
The 23-year-old is expected to remain with the Blue Square Premier side until April 20th.
Boden, who joined Chesterfield in the summer of 2008, has scored one goal in 11 appearances this season.
There is a 24-hour recall clause in the deal which comes into effect after 28 days.

Friday 7th December 2012 Alfreton Town manager Nicky Law has extended the loan of central midfield player Matty Harriott from npower League One club Sheffield United for a further month and he will now be at the Impact Arena until January 6th, 2013, inclusive.
Meanwhile, striker Anthony Wilson has been transferred to North Ferriby United for an undisclosed fee. Wilson, 25, has been unable to claim a regular starting shirt this season and has just completed a month's loan with the Evo-Stik League Premier Division club. Friday 9th November 2012 Midfielder Jake Moult (pictured left) has been released from his contract with Alfreton Town and joined Conference North club Altrincham permanently.
He has been on loan with the Cheshire outfit since the start of the season. Jake made 80 appearances for the Reds, 15 from the bench, and scored 14 goals since joining the club from Stafford Rangers in January 2010.

The Gloucester v Orient 1st round tie was scheduled to be played on Sunday but was called off due to a waterlogged pitch at Cheltenham Town's Whaddon Road ground where Gloucester City play their home games. Alfreton Town's penultimate pre-season friendly ended prematurely on Tuesday evening when young Reds Academy keeper Danny Hatfield, 18, had his first team debut marred when he suffered a broken nose and experienced breathing difficulties after a collision with a Sutton Town player.

Russell, 27, began his career at Hull City, and has also seen action at Kidderminster Harriers, York City, Tamworth, Cambridge United and Lincoln City for whom he played in the 2011/12 season.

Thursday 29th March 2012 Alfreton Town manager Nicky Law paid tribute to his battle-hardened troops after they had pulled off a third away win in a row with a 2-1 victory at Ebbsfleet United on Tuesday Night.
After a game which involved a 332-mile round trip from Alfreton and ended with the manager and players reaching home at 3am and beyond in the morning, the Reds boss was delighted with the application from his team.

Law Brings New Blood To Reds
Friday 23rd March 2012 Alfreton Town manager Nicky Law has strengthened his squad on loan deadline day for the crucial end-of-season run in by bringing in Nottingham Forest central midfield player Daniel Meadows on a youth loan until April 28th inclusive.
Newark-born Meadows, 19, progressed through Forest's ranks and signed a 2-year apprenticeship there in February 2009, going on to play for both youth team and Reserves for whom he's featured regularly. He was Forest's 1st Apprentice of the Year award winner at the end of the 2010/11 season in recognition of his application and commitment in both matches and in training. Described as a pacy, attacking central midfield player with plenty of stamina, Daniel will be added to the squad for this Saturday's home game against Cambridge United.
Reds Boss Needs To Bolster Defence
Friday 23rd March 2012 Alfreton Town manager Nicky Law is facing a race against time to try and bolster his injury-hit defence for the final run-in.
With another big home game coming up against Cambridge United on Saturday, the Reds boss is already without Adam Quinn whose calf injury will keep him sidelined for another 2 to 3 weeks. Seamus Conneely, on loan from Sheffield United, who has done very well in his first two games, missed the Mansfield Town game on Tuesday due to illness which beset him just before the game. Reds Announce Plans For Local Derby Clash

Alfreton Town Football Club have announced their segregation plans for next Tuesday's (March 20th) Blue Square Bet Premier Division local derby home clash with Mansfield Town.
As with all Conference Premier Division games at the Impact Arena this season, segregation will be in place. However, home supporters should note that for this game, there will be no admission to the Impact Arena from the Alma Street turnstiles for home supporters - and Reds fans will only be able to gain access to the ground via the North Street turnstiles on the night. Friday 9th March 2012 Alfreton Town gave their Blue Square Bet Premier Division survival hopes a massive boost when they thrashed former Football League club Stockport County 6-1 at the Impact Arena on Tuesday evening.

Reds Defender Franks Suspended

Alfreton Town defender Leigh Franks has been suspended for a total of three Blue Square Bet Premier Division games following his dismissal against AFC Telford United on Saturday.
Franks will miss the home game tomorrow against Stockport County (Tuesday, March 6th), the away game at Lincoln City on Saturday, March 10th and the away game at Kettering Town on Saturday, March 17th.
Reds Sign Stopper Stewart
Friday 2nd March 2012 Alfreton Boss Nicky Law has signed keeper Jon Stewart from npower Championship club Burnley on loan until the end of the season.
22 year old Stewart, who stands 6'2", is a former Swindon Town youngster but began his career in earnest at Bournemouth and moved to Turf Moor last summer where he is yet to make a first team appearance. Jon has tasted Conference football previously, having had a loan spell at Weymouth in the 2007/08 season.He will wear squad number 27 during his stay at the Impact Arena and is expected to make his debut in tomorrow's (Saturday) Blue Square Bet Premier Division home game against AFC Telford United.
Reds Defender Heads Out
Friday 2nd March 2012 Alfreton Town defender Matt Wilson has joined Blue Square Bet North title chasers Guiseley on loan until April 4th, 2012, inclusive.
Matt will link up with Reds striker Chris Senior who is on loan with the West Yorkshire club until the end of the season and former Reds midfield player Andy Holdsworth. Guiseley are currently 4th in the table, 12 points behind league leaders Hyde FC who have played 3 games more.
Meanwhile, utility player Jordan Hall has had his contract with the club cancelled by mutual consent, thus ending a three-and-a-half year association with the Reds. He joined the club in September 2008, and went on to make a total of 118 appearances for Alfreton, 36 of which were from the bench. He scored 7 goals during his spell at the Impact Arena. The Reds host AFC Telford United at the Impact Arena on Saturday and Stockport County next Tuesday and the Reds squad have been told - in no uncertain terms - that last week's display in the 4-0 defeat at top-of-the-table Fleetwood Town was nowhere near good enough.

Thursday 23rd February 2012 Derbyshire Police say that they want to trace a number of men they want to speak to following disorder during an Alfreton Town match.
Trouble flared between rival fans at the Impact Arena during the Blue Square Premier match against Grimsby Town on January 12th 2012. During the match there were a number of incidents of disorder which police are currently investigating.

Thursday 23rd February 2012 Alfreton Town Asst Manager Russ O'Neill insists Alfreton Town will go to Blue Square Bet Premier Division league leaders Fleetwood Town on Saturday with every intention of winning.
Big spending Fleetwood are red hot favourites to win the title this season and smashed Ebbsfleet United 6-2 on Tuesday night.

Tuesday 21st February 2012 Alfreton Town have signed former Barnet, Gateshead and Blyth Spartans midfielder Nicky Deverdics.
Nicky, 24, began his career as a trainee with Newcastle United, but after making several appearances for the reserves, he was released at the end of the 2005/06 season. Upon his release he joined Alfreton's league rivals Gateshead, leaving to join STL Northern League side Bedlington Terriers in December 2006.

Alfreton Town Director Praised For Community Scheme
Wednesday 8th February 2012 Alfreton Town chairman Wayne Bradley has paid tribute to the efforts of club director John Glasby who has overseen the setting up of a brand new community scheme for the club, which will provide employment for up to 40 people over the next two years.
After months of planning, the scheme became reality on Monday, January 30th, when the first four apprentices were taken on, employed by the club.

Wednesday 8th February 2012 Alfreton Town's twice-postponed FA Carlsberg Trophy third round tie at Gateshead has left the club looking at a very bleak mid-winter period in terms of incoming revenue.
Last Saturday's game was postponed due to a frozen pitch at Gateshead's International Stadium and then rearranged for Tuesday which also fell to the freezing elements. Reds Travel To Gateshead In FA Carlsberg Trophy Clash
Friday 3rd February 2012 Alfreton Town will be aiming to reach the fourth round of the FA Carlsberg Trophy for only the third time in their history when they travel to Gateshead on Saturday.
The Reds have only reached the fourth round on two previous occasions before. In 2002/03 they were knocked out 2-0 in a fourth round replay by eventual winners Burscough. Alfreton should have had the first game sewn up but their failure to capitalise on their dominance saw several untaken chances punished to the full in the replay on Merseyside.
The second occasion in the fourth round was in 2004/05 when they lost 3-0 at home to then Conference Premier club, Woking. READ MORE....

Alfreton Town have signed 6'2" central defender Darran Kempson on contract to the end of the 2011/12 season.
Kempson, 27, was a free agent after having a two-year contract with Grimsby Town cancelled by mutual consent in December 2011. He had been club captain at Blundell Park. He has a wealth of experience at Conference Premier level and above and his list of former clubs include Morecambe, Wrexham, Shrewsbury Town, Crewe Alexandra and Accrington Stanley. He will wear squad number 26 and has been added to Nicky Law's squad for Saturday's league game at Luton Town.

Reds Take Chesterfield Midfielder On Loan
Friday 20th January 2012 Alfreton Town manager Nicky Law has strengthened his squad ahead of Saturday's Blue Square Bet Premier Division home game with Kidderminster Harriers with the addition of Chesterfield midfield player Craig Clay.
The 5'11" tall Nottingham-born player is described as "A combative midfield player with a never-say-die attitude". Craig, 19, has made six appearances for the Spireites this season, all as substitute, with four in the league, one in the FA Cup and one in the League Cup.
He will wear squad number 22 during his stay at the Impact Arena which will be until March 3rd, 2012, inclusive.

Monday 16th January 2012 Alfreton Town cruised into the last 16 of the FA Carlsberg Trophy after demolishing Southern League Premier Division hosts Weymouth 6-0 on Saturday at the Bob Lucas Stadium.
The Reds built up a commanding 5-0 half-time lead with a brace of goals each from Nathan Jarman and Nathan Arnold and one from debutant Louis Moult, then added one more in the second half through substitute Paul Clayton who steered a flicked on Anthony Wilson header home with his thigh from very close range on 77 minutes.

Quinn Commits His Future To Reds
Friday 6th January 2012 Alfreton Town FC said that they are delighted to announce that they have made the signing of central defender Adam Quinn a permanent one.
The vastly experienced Quinn, 29, joined the Reds initially on loan from Darlington on November 24th but he has now signed a contract to stay at the Impact Arena until the end of the 2012/2013 season.

Midfielder Mackin Leaves Reds
Wednesday 4th January 2012 Alfreton Town have parted company with central midfield player Levi Mackin whose contract has been terminated by mutual agreement.
Mackin, 25,(left) joined the Reds in early July after being released by York City but he has struggled to keep a starting shirt, making 14 appearances in all competitions, including one as a substitute, out of a possible total of 32. He scored twice for the Reds, netting the penalty which helped gain Alfreton's 1-0 August Bank Holiday Monday victory at York City and once in the 3-2 defeat at Gresley FC in the Derbyshire Senior Cup. Alfreton Town has extended the loan of Peterborough United goalkeeper Joe Day to the end of the season and he will now be with the Reds until April 28th, 2012, inclusive.

Reds Plan An Away Day For FA Cup Tie
Tuesday 13th December 2011 Alfreton Town have been handed an away tie at Weymouth in the second round of the FA Carlsberg Trophy.
The tie will take place at the Bob Lucas Stadium on Saturday, January 14th, 2012 with a 3pm kick-off. The 'Terras' are currently 15th out of 22 sides in the Southern League Premier Division.

Thursday 8th December 2011 Alfreton Town manager Nicky Law praised his side's desire after seeing them come from behind to beat fellow Blue Square Bet Premier Division strugglers Newport County 3-2 at the Impact Arena on Tuesday night.
