Alfreton Town Football Club's involvement in the local community is long, varied, invaluable and something the club are rightly proud of.
Already renowned for their children's coaching schemes throughout the area over the past few years, the club's involvement goes far beyond that.
The Reds have helped dozens of local authorities and well-known national charities with their fund-raising events for a number of years with donations of signed shirts and footballs, other memorabilia, numerous family tickets which enable admission for two adults and two children to home league games, and even bucket collections.
The donations may perhaps be small in stature, but in reality the running total is worth several thousand pounds.
And the club have also opened their doors free of charge for several years for the final of the Stan Brewster Memorial Football tournament.
Reds chairman Wayne Bradley (left), commented: "Both indirectly and directly, the club has been involved in helping big charities like Wish Upon A Star, Cancer Research, Marie Curie, CLIC Sergeant and Help for Heroes as well as lots of local ones including hospitals, pre-schools and the like.
"We are delighted our name is seen and attached in albeit small ways towards helping those less fortunate than ourselves but long may it continue."
Early Bird Season Ticket Deadline Looming
Meanwhile, Reds fans have only a few days left to take advantage of the club's hugely discounted Early Bird Season Tickets.
Discounted season tickets are available up to and including June 30th, and are priced at £289 for adults, £194 for concessions, £150 for a ten-match ticket, with concessions paying £100 for the ten-match option.
After the June 30th deadline, tickets increase to £310 for adults, £206 for concessions and £160 for a Ten-match ticket, £110 for ten-match concessions.
Fans paying £18 individually for each game would pay a total of £414 for 23 league games. If they purchase a season ticket at the discounted price of £289, that works out at just £12.56 per game.
After the early bird deadline, the price per individual game would work out at only £13.47 for an adult.
Season ticket holders will be receiving a renewal letter through the post this week and they will be able to use that form to order their ticket for the new campaign.
Season tickets, Ten-Match tickets and Junior Reds applications can be ordered and paid for by credit card by contacting Lisa Towerzey on 01159 392090 extension 107 between the hours of 9.30am and 2.30pm Monday to Friday.
Payment can also be made by cheque to ATFC Season Tickets, Impact Marketing and Publicity Limited, Media House, 116-118 Derby Road, Stapleford, Nottinghamshire, NG9 7AD.
Fixtures
The Football Conference have confirmed that the 2013/2014 season league fixtures will be issued at 11am on Wednesday, July 3rd.
Pre-season training begins on Thursday, June 27th, but striker Ashley Worsfold will not be with the Reds as he has chosen to follow Anton Brown and Leigh Franks in moving to Conference North club Harrogate Town.
Alfreton have agreed compensation fees for both Worsfold and Franks under the Bosman ruling.
