Chesterfield Junior Blues
(above), have been awarded 50 tickets for Chesterfield's big Johnstone's Paint Trophy Final showdown with Peterborough United at Wembley on Sunday.

Tournament sponsors Johnstone's Paint ran a competition to allocate 50 tickets for a junior football team in the Chesterfield area, to mark the SkyBet League 2 club reaching the Johnstone's Paint Trophy Final for the second time in three years.

A nomination was provided by Derbyshire FA, with Chesterfield Blues receiving the nod for their strong and proactive links with the community, an ever-growing number of teams and recently receiving Charter Standard development club status - a nationally recognised award of excellence for junior clubs.

Ben Wilde, Brand and Sponsorship Manager for Johnstone's Paint, said: "Supporting and engaging with communities is a key focus for everyone at Johnstone's Paint.

"With that in mind, we are delighted our exciting new initiative of rewarding a junior club with 50 tickets has gone to a club which has made such a big impression on their community.

"Everyone at Johnstone's Paint hopes Chesterfield Junior Blues enjoy their day at Wembley after being very deserving winners of our prize."

Oliver Couch, chairman of Chesterfield Junior Blues, said: "It's a wonderful gesture from Johnstone’s Paint to donate 50 tickets to the club.

"All our team members are football-mad - and they are so excited about going to Wembley to watch Chesterfield in action in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy Final."

Johnstone's Paint has long been established as a premium paint and have a special 'Spireites Blue' paint colour available for Chesterfield fans.

The nearest Johnstone's Decorating Centre to Chesterfield's Proact Stadium can be found off Britannia Road, opposite the bowling alley.
