Can You Help Chesterfield Football Club?

Tuesday 14th September 2010

If you're based near Chesterfield Football Club’s B2 Net stadium and you can offer match day parking facilities, then the club is asking that you please get in touch.

Colin Nellist, who's the Stadium Manager said : "There are already a number of organisations offering car parking in the area on a match day, and if there are any others who would like to offer parking facilities we would like to hear from them so we can give it some publicity."

It comes as a general reminder is issued to supporters travelling in cars to the stadium to show some consideration to the stadium's neighbours when coming to games.

Colin Nellist said: "Although we have only been in our new home for a few weeks, and things are already starting to settle down, there is a need for car travelling supporters to show consideration for our neighbours when parking up."

He added: “We have been advised that parking problems in the Whittington Moor area have been around for some time before the new stadium opened but we will continue to support local initiatives that help the situation.”

85 car parking spaces have been made available on a season ticket basis by Fitness First and applications should be made direct to the football club.

Meanwhile, the club's matchday shuttle bus service, which operates every 10 minutes from Goldwell Hill and Rose Hill is proving very successful for those supporters choosing to leave their cars at home.
