Police Appeal After A Harassment Incident In Killamarsh

Police are appealing for witnesses to an alleged incident of harassment in Killamarsh on Sunday March 30th.Police are appealing for witnesses to an alleged incident of harassment in Killamarsh on Sunday March 30th.

Officers are investigating reports that a 17-year-old girl and her two friends were subjected to threats and abuse, which culminated in an incident near the leisure centre on Stanley Street in Killamarsh.

At about 8.30pm a man, who is thought to be about 18-years-old, approached the victim who was in her friend's car and threatened to smash the windscreen. He was confronted by some local youths who were concerned by his behaviour and he threatened them too.

The victim's friend drove away and the incident was reported to the police.

Officers are trying to trace the youths who helped the girls and would also like to speak to anyone else who was in the area at the time.
