Alfreton Player Selected by England C Team Manager For FA Fixture

ALFRETON Town's Josh Law has been named as part of a 16-man squad by England C team manager Paul Fairclough to take part in an FA Representative XI fixture at Hallam FC as part of the club's 150th Anniversary celebrations.

The full squad is:

Darren Acton (GK) - Nuneaton Town;
Lee Evans (GK) - Stafford Rangers;
Josh Law - Alfreton Town;
Kieran Murphy - Boston United;
Luke Waterfal - Gainsborough Trinity;
Liam Brownhill - Droylsden;
Anthony Church - Boston United;
Kyle Storer - Nuneaton Town;
Dan Dillon - Hinckley United;
Luke Holden - Droylsden;
Sam Duncum - Eastwood Town;
Tom Thorley - Worcester City;
Ben Mills - Stafford Rangers;
James Walshaw - Guiseley;
Scott Mooney - Hyde;
Justin Marsden - Nuneaton Town.

Reds players Connor Franklin and Anton Brown have both been named in
the contingency squad for the fixture.

Andy Boyce - Gainsborough Trinity;
Mark Noone - Nuneaton Town;
Jack Rae - Stalybridge Celtic;
Anton Brown - Alfreton Town;
Shaun Whalley - Droylsden;
Jamie Vardy - FC Halifax Town.

The game takes place at Hallam's Sandygate Stadium on Tuesday, October
19th with a 7.45pm kick-off.

ALFRETON STILL TOP DESPITE NO GAME

DESPITE not being in action, Alfreton Town had their lead at the top of Blue Square Bet North cut to one point after second-placed Boston United won 3-0 at bottom-of-the-table Hyde on Saturday.

Alfreton now have one game in hand on the Pilgrims.
