Police in Chesterfield are appealing for information after a number of cars on the same street were damaged in the early hours of Saturday.
Officers in Hasland would like to speak to anyone who heard or saw anything unusual in the Spital Lane area on Saturday, September 11.
Several cars parked on the street had their wing mirrors damaged and paintwork scratched during the spate of vandalism which happened at around 3am.
PC Mick Hellewell, of the Hasland and St Leonard's Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: "This has been a sporadic problem for a while now. If anyone has any information relating to these crimes please get in touch so we can put an end to this mindless vandalism."
The offender is described as male, around six feet tall and wearing a dark sports jacket, jeans and a baseball cap. He was also carrying what looked like a pole which was around four feet long.
Call Derbyshire police on 0345 123 3333 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
