LEESBROOK (1st XV) 14 - 23 PANTHERS (1st XV)
Panthers returned to winning ways with a comfortable league victory over Leesbrook.
PANTHERS (2nd XV) 32 - 5 TUPTON (2nd XV)
Tupton spent most of the 1st half on the attack but were kept at bay by some brilliant Chesterfield defending to keep the score sheet blank at half time.
The second half began with Tupton taking an early lead but that was to be their only score as the Chesterfield team then gained the ascendency.
Tries from Chris Cooper and Luke Holt gave a narrow lead and as the game entered the final 20 minutes, the Panthers stepped up a gear to run out comprehensive victors.
Tries came from Luke Holt, Phil Cawthorne (2) and Jordan Adams with Colin Baker converting.
Man of the match was Luke Holt.
PANTHERS LADIES 22 - 37 STOURBRIDGE LADIES
Playing on a very heavy pitch and in poor conditions a defeat for the second week in a row sees the Ladies fall away from the pace at the top of the league.
BARNSLEY (U14's) 15 - 29 PANTHERS (U14's)
FOAN HAT-TRICK GIVES BARNSLEY THE CHOP
Missing players because of half term the Chesterfield team still maintained the upper hand in wet and muddy conditions.
On the five minute mark Foan latched on to a loose ball and dived over to score.
Barnsley hit back very quickly to level the score and similar then happened again with Foan scoring a second before Barnsley crossed the line to take the game into half time at 10 - 10.
In the second half the power of the Panthers' pack continued to make the difference which gave them more territorial advantage and the opportunity to score three more tries.
The first one came after some especially quick and effective rucking gave Matt Ford an opening to thread his way close to the posts. Alistair Taylor converted.
Foan then ran in his third try to give a comfortable margin but Barnsley were still in the game. From a scrum close to the Chesterfield line they were able to run in a soft try after a pick up and go from the back of the scrum.
The game was then sealed when Taylor ran in a try and converted to give a comfortable winning margin.
Man of the Match was Fergus Wish
PANTHERS (U10's) 25 - 5 DONCASTER (U10's)
Tries from Oliver Jenkins, Jack Burton, Bess Heath and a brace from Harvey Fletcher gave a comfortable win over a strong Doncaster team.
The Club is actively seeking to strengthen the Ladies squad. Any Ladies wishing to join the squad for training and matches can get more information via the Club's website at www.chesterfieldrugby.co.uk or by phoning 01246 857480.
