Ins And Outs For The Reds

Friday 21st January 2011

It's been a busy evening on the transfer front as ALFRETON Town has announced it's swooped to sign 21-year-old goalkeeper James McKeown following his release from Npower League One club Peterborough United.

McKeown has had loan spells at Kettering Town and Worcester City - albeit just one game - and he put in several impressive displays in making 17 appearances while on a five-month loan spell at Blue Square Bet North rivals Boston United including in the Pilgrims' 1-0 win at the Impact Arena earlier this season.

The 6'2" keeper has also spent a week training at Lincoln City.

A former Walsall trainee, he has also represented the Republic of Ireland at youth level at U17, U18, U19 and U21 levels.

ADEN FLINT CHOOSES TO MOVE TO SWINDON TOWN

ALFRETON Town captain Aden Flint has chosen to join Swindon Town ahead of their Npower League One rivals Colchester United.

The Reds will receive a club record transfer fee of £150,000 for the highly-rated 21-year-old defender and a 20 per cent future sell-on clause has also been agreed between Alfreton Town and the Wiltshire club.

Negotiations are currently ongoing between the clubs over the possibility of Flint returning to the Impact Arena in the near future on a loan deal.
