Alfreton Town v Solihull Moors. Preview.
And Daryl Clare Extends Loan

Monday 28th March 2011

Title-chasing Alfreton Town face another tough Blue Square Bet North league game on tonight (Monday 28th) as they host a very much in-form Solihull Moors.

The West Midlands side will arrive full of confidence having won their last 6 league games in a row and who are also boasting a fantastic 18-game unbeaten run in the league that has carried them firmly into the play-off places.

With less than 6 weeks to go to the end of the season, this is strangely a first clash of the season between the sides.

Nicky Law's side will be looking to extend their own unbeaten run at home to 11 games and with Solihull unbeaten in their last eight on the road, having won their last three in succession, a terrific game is in prospect.

A victory for Alfreton would see them take over at the top of the table on goal difference - with a further two games in hand - whilst the Moors could climb to third place on goal difference with a win.

Alfreton may have top scorer Liam Hearn back for the game after a minor hamstring injury and he leads the way for the Reds in the league with 19 goals. Paul Clayton has eight, Nathan Arnold seven and Ant Wilson five.

Top scorers for Solihull in the league are Ryan Beswick with 11, Matt Smith and Adam Cunnington with ten each, Simon Johnson with seven and Junior English with six.

Kick-off at the Impact Arena is 7.45pm.
