Wes Durston has pointed to Derbyshire's match winners and says the Falcons fear nobody ahead of Friday's match against Durham Dynamos.
Durston refers to the Dynamos as "A team full of stars!" and - after excellent support in the home match against Lancashire - he is hoping the home crowd can once again be Derbyshire's 12th man on Friday.
He said: "It's exciting and it will be nice to play Durham in back-to-back games as we can get a measure of them in the first game and then adapt the way we play if we need to for Sunday. They are a side full of stars but we welcome them down to the County Ground and we hope to turn them over.
"We don’t fear anybody. We have got match winners ourselves so why should we? It's going to be an exciting game.
"When we were batting on Thursday, every time we hit boundaries the crowd really enjoyed it, then in the field it felt like they were our 12th man. As it was such an exciting game I really hope they can turn out again on Friday because it does make a difference."
Durston has top-scored for the Falcons in each of their two matches so far, scoring 85 from 58 balls against Lancashire followed by a 33 ball 46 versus Nottinghamshire on the following evening.
The 30-year-old is relishing the opportunity of batting at the top of the order and is enjoying his partnership with New Zealand international Martin Guptill.
"It is nice to be opening the innings, I enjoy that in Twenty20," he said. "In the past, before last season, I was going in at six or seven and it's not easy to just go from ball one.
"With the powerplay overs you have got to be positive, but you don't need to do anything reckless because good shots will go for four if you hit the gap.
"Twenty overs is a lot longer than people think. You can build an innings. If you can get off to a good start - that's when you need to put the foot down and make it into a good score.
"I enjoy batting with Martin, he puts bat to ball, plays the game the way it's meant to be played and hits a clean ball, so it's exciting building that partnership. We have got a 52 and a 49 so far which is pretty good but if we can turn those into bigger ones, we will set ourselves up for the latter overs."
Derbyshire Falcons versus Durham Dynamos at the County Ground, Derby, begins at 7pm tomorrow - Friday 10th June.
Tickets on the day of the game are priced at £15 adults, £8 Juniors. They can be purchased in advance of the day of the game for the reduced price of £13 adults, £6 juniors.
