Division One Parkhead remain at the top of the division after a seven wicket win at De La Salle Old Boys. Batting first, the home side struggled on a drying pitch. Mark Simmerson batted manfully all though the allocated forty six overs to record an unbeaten 57 in their closing total of 138-7. For Parkhead, the main wicket taker was B.Birtles with 4-56. Parkhead used up thirty six overs in reaching their target at 139-3. Chief run maker was the prolific Will Helliwell with a hard hitting 48. Second placed Millhouses Works had a comfortable win against bottom of the table Hundall. They bowled out the visitors for 77 and knocked off the runs for the loss of just three wickets. Holmesfield stay in contention. They hit an impressive 278-4 at the Apperknowle ground. Main run getters were Jimmy Pearson 87 and M.Rodgers 60. They then restricted the home side to 165-7. Sheffield University Staff are going well in third position in the table. Batting first at home to Sheffield Centralians, they made a mdest 132-8 (M.Sharma 54, J.Parkin 4-26). Centralians fell fifty runs short being bowled out for 82, with Uroo Khan claiming 6-17. Hollinsend Meths returned to winning ways with a seventy run home win over Hathersage. Batting first they made 165 all out (M.Hill 49) and then sent back their opponents for 96.
Division Two Calver are in fine form and so is their star batsman Tom Hilton. He hit another impressive score of 79 in their 234-6 (E.Coxhead 41 no). Coxhead then went on to take 4-60 as visitors Hallam 3rd were dismissed for 153 (G.Thorpe 55). This win takes Calver into second place in the table. Unbeaten leaders Stocksbridge were involved in a very exciting contest at the Dore ground of Weston Park. Batting first, Weston Park posted a useful 217-8 (Dhawan 59, Nagonbar 40, A.Hibbert 4-62). Stocksbridge losing wickets on a regular basis scraped a one wicket win at 218-9 (R.Harper 47, Bhagara 4-63). Sheffield Civil Service moved into third place in the table at the expense of Dronfield Woodhouse. They bowled out the visitors for 113 (C.Braddock 48) knocking off the winning runs at 114-2 (Younis 52). Grindleford returned to winning ways at bottom of the table Parkhead 2nd. Batting first they where restricted to 149-7 (A.Colley 5-62). The home side then fell just twenty one runs short as they were all out for 128 (R.Tiffin 4-31, A. Cornes 4-33). A tense game took place between Millhouses Works 2nd and Ashford. Both sides were all out for 138 resulting in an exciting tie. Excellent bowling by E.Raper 7-44 for Works with P.Holmes top scoring with 40.
Division Three Match of the day in this division saw unbeaten league leaders Baslow, take on second place Sheffield University Staff 2nd. The University side did well to restrict the homesters to 125-9 from their overs, with Manchanayake taking 4-42. Staff then made 126-6 in reply to end Baslow's one hundred per cent record and close the gap at the top of the table. Best batting for Staff came from Christi with a good 55. There was a close encounter at the Shardlows ground where the home side were sent back for 90. This was mainly due to Bakewell's Peach who finished with a superb return of 8-18. Bakewell had earlier been dismissed for 112 with Joyce claiming 6-55 for the home side. Stocksbridge 2nd 180-4 (E.Price 72 no, Ogley 50), had their second win of the season over Richmond who had earlier made 179-7 (Spurgeon 55). Totley Sports 77 (Shazzad 6-22) were comfortably beaten at home by Millhouses Works 3rd 157-8 TRS 129, had a fine win over Whittington Wanderers, who were sent back for just 48, mainly thanks to a fine spell from S.Abass of 6 wickets for just 7 runs.
Division Four There was also a top of the table clash in this division. Second placed Chesterfield Barbarians 2nd didn't think they had made enough, when bowled out for 115 by leaders Totley Sports 2nd. This however proved to be more than eough as Totley could only muster 90 all out in reply. For Totley, Riaz took 4-41. Both teams are now neck and neck at the top of the table. Coal Aston 3rd 110-2 (Shah 45 no) had a good win over bottom of the table Apperknowle 2nd 106 all out (S.Tye 4-39). Hathersage 2nd were sent back for just 57 by Hollinsend Meths 2nd who were made to work hard for their victory in their reply of 58-6. There was a close match at Youlgreave Lodge, who, batting first, made 145 (McMahon 50). De La Salle OB 2nd replying with 146-8 (S.Dixon 55, McMahon 5-31)
Division Five The most remarkable happening took place in this division, in the game between Whittington Wanderers 2nd and Sheffield Collegiate 5th. Andy Langdale returned the amazing figures of 9 wickets for just one run in his 5.4 overs as Wanderers were skittled for 47. Collegiate replied with 51-4. Ashford 2nd 145 (O.Watson 55, S.Davies 41, R.Dewsbury 4-14) were beaten at home by Ridgeway 2nd 146-7 (L.Keys 51, R.Ellis 5-47) Hallam 4th posted a score of 142-8 (R.Frost 58) and then sent back Baslow 2ndfor just 59. Sheffield Medics continued their unbeaten run, in making 138 all out, and then dismissing Sheffield Civil Service 2nd for 98 (K.Rele 6-45), to record a forty run win. Stocksbridge 3rd had the days only centurian. Howe hitting a fine unbeaten 103 in his side's total of 185-3. This was in reply to Chesterfield Barbarians 2nd 181-5 (J.Denby 89)
