Division One Leaders Holmesfield, rattled up another huge score, this time 305-7. Chief run makers were, David Ward 72, T.Brown 70 and M.Rodgers 42. Bottom of the table Apperknowle made a spirited reply, A.Crookes making a fine 82 in an all out total of 195 (D.Pearson 4-50). Second placed Millhouses Works kept up the pressure on the leaders with an easy win at Hundall. The home side were sent back for 75 due to excellent bowling from opening pair, Brad Sampson 5-44 and Michael Cox 5-20. Works replied with 76-1. Parkhead stay in third place. They set their visitors, De La Salle OB a difficult target, scoring an all out total of 267 (A.Vinall 54, J.Woolway 53). De La Salle made a very good reply getting close at 234-8 (Mark Simmerson 60). Sheffield Centralians were shot out for just 57 by fourth placed Sheffield University Staff. This was mainly due to a superb spell of 8-20 by Kashikar. Staff then raced to a seven wicket win at 58-3. Top run maker of the day in this division, was James Newsome of Hollinsend Meths, who hit a superb 112 out of his side's total of 214-7 (S.Marshall 42). The home side Hathersage, were then dismissed for 147 (M.Ghayas 54, R.Wadsworth 6-28)
Division Two Stocksbridge are already the Champions. They remain unbeaten after another win, this time at the Dore ground of Weston Park. They bowled the home side out for 116 with Colin Vickers again amongst the wickets with 5-39. They then moved onto a four wicket win at 117-6 (James Spawton 42 no). Calver returned to winning ways and kept up their promotion challenge as they dismissed Hallam 3rd for 91 (Ed. Coxhead 4-24). They replied with 92-2. Dronfield Woodhouse had an excellent home win over second placed Sheffield Civil Service to join them on level points. Batting first, Woodhouse made 229-8 from their allotted overs (Steve Vessey 49, P.Waller 7-54). In reply Civil Service were all out for 185 (S.Frier 79, K.Lewis 5-62). Ashford had a good home win over Millhouses Works 2nd. The visitors, batting first, made a useful 194-7 (Roney 5-65). The home side made a fine 197-3 in reply (Henson 61no, Davis 45). Ridgeway totalled 178-9 (K.Roberts 7-49), at Sheffield Transport. This proved to be too much for the home side, who were then bowled out for 137.
Division Three It was a case of inform batsmen at Whittington Wanderers, where the prolific Paul Fletcher hit 70 out of his side's 175-8 (Jim Lomas 5-53). Ben Rooke then made a superb unbeaten 93 for his side Sheffield Collegiate 4th in their winning reply of 176-5, which keeps them in second place in the table. Third placed Sheffield University Staff were pleased to bowl out league leaders Baslow for 126 (A.Patel 5-47, J.Keer 44). They however could only must 76 in reply, losing by fifty runs. Bakewell kept in the promotion frame scoring an impressive 217-6 (J.Wallace 78) at home to Shardlows, who then then sent back for 98 (M.Clarke 4-38). Stocksbridge 2nd are in good form. Batting first, they made a more than useful 244-9 at the ground of Richmond. A.Siddall was unlucky to out for a fine 99, M.Wingfield made 53 whilst T.Bruce took 4-41 for the home side, who were then sent back for just 67 (R.Owen 5-23). Millhouses Works 3rd chalked up an impressive 234-6 at home to Totley Sports. This was mainly due to a magnificent innings of 134 no by T.Perera. This didn't prove to be daunting to Totley who replied with 235-5.
Division Four Nabeel Abdul was in fine form for the leaders Totley Sports 2nd. He claimed 4-22 as Chesterfield Barbarians 2nd were bowled out for 181 (Keith Barratt 50), and then clubbed a superb unbeaten 95 out of his side's winning reply of 182-4. Sheffield Zingari 140-6 (M.Sayers 48) had a good home win over Sheffield Centralians 2nd 137 all out. Coal Aston 3rd 170-4 (Woolley 84), had a six wicket win at Apperknowle 2nd who they bowled out for 168. Walkley had a good win at home to Hundall 2nd. They bowled out the visitors for 145 (S.Harper 40, T.Frith 4-54). Then Richard Wing cracked a superb unbeaten 118 out of his side's reply of 147-1. Hollinsend 2nd 110-6 had a four wicket win at home to Hathersage 2nd who were all out for 109.
Division Five The leaders Stocksbridge 3rd had another good win, this time away at Chesterfield Barbarians 3rd . They bowled the home side out for 111 (B.Murfin 4-21) and in reply made 112-4 (M.Perry 50no). Sheffield Collegiate 5th had a two wicket win over improving Whittington Wanderers 2nd. They replied to the visitor's total of 122 all out with 125-8. Hallam 4th made an impressive 219 all out and then restricted the home side, Baslow 2nd to 189-7 in their reply, A.Elleker hitting 62 for Baslow. Sheffield Medics, batting first hit a good score of 222-8 (B.Chari 79, D.Reid4-36). Home side Sheffield Civil Service 2nd were then bowled out for 101 (Sashin 5-22)
