Derbyshire County Cricket Club has released membership prices for 2012 which include savings to reflect the economic times.

With the price of Full Membership frozen, under 12's free for a third successive year, plus savings for all senior citizens and those living 20 plus miles from the County Ground, Derbyshire are making the summer of cricket more accessible than ever to all supporters.

The Senior Citizen category has been reopened for all aged 65 and over with a price of £140. And the reduction to a 20 mile radius for Country Membership, again activating a £20 discount, means the category now includes areas such as Matlock, Chesterfield and parts of Staffordshire including Uttoxeter and Leek.

Half price car parking is available to all Country Members and those living outside a 35 mile radius can benefit from a free car parking pass.

Also new for 2012 is the ability to pay for membership in up to five installments with all payments to be completed by 31st May.

Junior Membership is again free of charge for those aged 0-12 on 1st January 2012. All current Junior Members who remain within the age bracket will be automatically re-registered for 2012. Those aged 13-15 on 1st January 2012 can purchase Membership for just £20.

A Limited Overs Season Ticket has been inaugurated with six Clydesdale Bank 40 matches and five Friends Life t20 matches all included for £99. This will be available to purchase from 1st December but will be officially launched in the New Year.

Membership will be on sale, along with match tickets, on Thursday 1st December, subject to receiving confirmation of the 2012 fixtures. The two day tour match versus South Africa on Friday 10th and Saturday 11th August will be included in all membership categories.

Chief Executive Keith Loring said: "My staff and I talked to many members and supporters of various demographics and locations during the summer. The feedback we received has led to our price strategy for the season."

Derbyshire Chairman Chris Grant said: "In light of the present economic environment, we as a Committee are delighted that Keith and the team have incorporated so much cost consciousness into our 2012 membership campaign.

"We have particularly tried to aid supporters who are affected by the price of petrol with the concessions on car parking and by making the country membership more accessible to those who travel significant distances to matches.

"There is no price increase across the board as well as several areas of significant savings which we hope will help us retain our existing membership whilst also appealing to a wider network of supporters.

"Our free initiative for under 12's took us to the brink of 1,000 Junior Members in 2011; a figure we anticipate improving upon in 2012 as we continue to recruit the members and supporters of the future.

"The Limited Overs Season Ticket, meanwhile, provides excellent value on Friends Life t20 and Clydesdale Bank 40 matches to supporters whose work commitments prohibit attendance for LV = County Championship cricket."
